NHTSA 10059009: Fuel tank service information

Fuel tank service information on BMW F25 models (2015); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10059009 · Aug 2015

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Due to insufficient venting of the fuel tank, the vehicle loses power while driving and there may also difficulty refilling the tank.
