NHTSA 10150199: Fuel pump new-car delivery hold

Fuel pump new-car delivery hold on BMW E89 models (2009–2014); unsold cars were held for inspection and repair before delivery.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10150199 · Nov 2013

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The Delivery Stop issued on November 22 for certain 2014 model year E89 vehicles produced from March to June 2013, remains in effect. The fuel pump pressure regulator could cause a noise that is audible to the driver. The fuel pump still functions properly in this case.
