SIB 11 14 07: Turbocharger rattle

What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
N54 turbocharger waste gate control noises and operation. After turning off engine, a slight rattle noise is heard from the engine compartment. This noise is similar to a mechanical typewriter. In addition, the complaints of a slight reduction of power similar to an increased turbo lag.
