What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

ENGINE IDLE TOO HIGH AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE. Primarily when vehicle is at altitudes higher than 5000' above sea level, and engine is at operating temperature, the idle is sporadically elevated (up to approx. 1200 rpm). MIL indicator is illuminated.
