SIB 13 02 10: Engine service information

Engine service information on N54 engines (2007–2011); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10036984 · Jun 2010 · also written SI B13 02 10, B130210

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

It is now possible to perform a fuel quality detection test on vehicles with an N54 engine.
