SIB 16 09 10: Noise service information

Noise service information on N52/N54 engines (2009); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10037125 · Sep 2010 · also written SI B16 09 10, B160910

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

While driving there is a whistling or howl noise coming from the passenger side.
