SIB 17 03 10: Fan service information

Fan service information on BMW E63/E64/F25 models (2010–2011); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10037047 · Oct 2010 · also written SI B17 03 10, B170310

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

There is an internal defect with the electric fan and it may not run in certain conditions.
