SIB 31 01 21: Equipment service information
Equipment service information on BMW G01/G02/F97/F98 models (2020–2021); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10204623 · Jul 2021 · also written SI B31 01 21, B310121
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Due to a parts list error in production, the vehicle was not built according to specification.
