SIB 33 03 19: Axle corrosion
Axle corrosion on BMW G14/G15/G16/F90 and other models (2018–2020); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10170576 · Dec 2019 · also written SI B33 03 19, B330319
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
SERVICE ACTION: CHECKING THE THRUST WASHER AND THE REAR AXLE ANTI-ROLL BAR. On vehicles with an incorrect setting of the thrust washer contact between the thrust washer and the sway bar may occur over time. This can lead to corrosion and breakage of the anti-roll bar.
