SIB 41 01 14: Frame and members corrosion

Frame and members corrosion on BMW F32/F33/F36 models (2014–2015); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10148266 · Apr 2014 · also written SI B41 01 14, B410114

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Service Action: Repair Right Side Panel Corrosion Protection. The right side panel corrosion protection is not sufficient. The sheet metal plate clearance in the right side A-pillar area is too small for complete corrosion protection from the factory.
