SIB 51 16 16: Rattle noise
Rattle noise on BMW F32/F33/F36 models (2015–2017); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147018 · Aug 2016 · also written SI B51 16 16, B511616
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Noise from Cargo Cover. A rattling sound may be heard from the rear cargo cover. Excessive clearance on mounting tabs.
