Body leak on BMW E85/E86/E89 models (2006–2010); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10037464 · Nov 2010 · also written SI B51 42 10, B514210

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Water is leaking into the luggage compartment due to a damaged seal on rear vents.
