SIB 52 01 12: Seat noise
Seat noise on BMW E63/E64 models (2010); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10043712 · Jan 2012 · also written SI B52 01 12, B520112
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Seat height and seat rail mechanism may not be properly installed by bolted connection, which causes noise from front seat area.
