SIB 52 04 12: Seat noise
Seat noise on BMW E60/F01/F02/F07 and other models (2009–2016); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147878 · Dec 2015 · also written SI B52 04 12, B520412
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Front Seat Base Makes Noise. A noise may be heard from the left or right front seat base when driving on rough roads. CAUSE The riveting of the seat control bracket to the metal seat base is too loose.
