SIB 52 05 08: Seat service information

Seat service information on BMW E90/E92/E93 models (2007); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10025848 · Jun 2008 · also written SI B52 05 08, B520508

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Seat frame design changed for 392 (3 series coupe) produced up to may 2007. On early production E92S, the socket which secures the seat backrest release cable to the release mechanism could pull free from the release mechanism.
