SIB 52 12 10: Seat service information

Seat service information on BMW E82/E88/E90/E92 and other models (2009–2010); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10037915 · Dec 2010 · also written SI B52 12 10, B521210

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The front seat heater activates on its own because of defective wiring contacts.
