Sunroof leak on BMW G07 models (2019); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10161566 · May 2019 · also written SI B54 05 19, B540519

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

BUTYL ON ROOF AROUND REAR SUNROOF GLASS. CAUSE Exposure to normal ambient heat can cause the factory-applied sunroof butyl to expand and leak out from around the rear sunroof glass.
