SIB 61 07 23: Door service information

Door service information on BMW G05/G06/G42 models (2019–2023); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10235195 · Mar 2023 · also written SI B61 07 23, B610723

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

During a service visit, a new BDC control unit was installed in the affected vehicle. As a result, the "lock after starting to drive" function of the doors may not have been activated again.
