Checking the jump start point cover and reworking if necessary on BMW G22/G23/G26/G30 and other models (2017–2021); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10187480 · Jan 2021 · also written SI B61 27 20, B612720

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

CHECKING THE JUMP START POINT COVER AND REWORKING IF NECESSARY: It is possible that the jump start terminal point cover was not installed, or not properly installed on the affected vehicles.
