SIB 63 04 19: Brake lights activate when using comfort access
Brake lights activate when using comfort access on BMW G11/G12 models (2016–2017); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10160291 · Apr 2019 · also written SI B63 04 19, B630419
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
BRAKE LIGHTS ACTIVATE WHEN USING COMFORT ACCESS. The brake lights activate by themselves for 8 seconds only after unsuccessfully unlocking the vehicle using Comfort Access.
