Water leak new-car delivery hold on BMW F25/F26 models (2017); unsold cars were held for inspection and repair before delivery.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10146556 · Feb 2017 · also written SI B64 01 17, B640117
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
DELIVERY STOP SERVICE ACTION: CHECK REAR VENTS . Rear vents may not have been installed properly. Improper installation may result in water leakage into the luggage compartment. Manufacturing error.
