SIB 64 08 15: Electrical system service information

Electrical system service information on BMW F25/F26 models (2015–2016); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147265 · Sep 2015 · also written SI B64 08 15, B640815

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The AUC (Automatic Recirculation Sensor) is installed pointing upwards instead of downwards. The AUC becomes contaminated. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves F25 (X3) and F26 (X4) vehicles produced from July 31, 2015 to August 25, 2015. ONLY 41 vehicles are involved.
