BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10171497 · Jan 2020 · also written SI B66 01 20, B660120

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

ACTIVE PARK DISTANCE CONTROL: SETTING MENU NO LONGER AVAILABLE AFTER PROGRAMMING. The activation setting for Active Park Distance Control (aPDC) is no longer available after programming. In this case the customer can no longer activate or deactivate the function.

Before you pay, check the VIN for recalls. Some failures are covered by a safety recall or a BMW warranty extension.
