NHTSA 10149467: Seat failure
Seat failure on BMW F06/F12/F13 models (2012–2014); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10149467 · Feb 2013
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Front Seat Lumbar Support Not Working. The lumbar support does not function properly or at all for one or both front seats. CAUSE In most cases, the lumbar knob will rotate with limited or no movement of the lumbar support; this is due to a fractured or broken lumbar support.
