What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

RAM CONTROL UNIT: CANNOT BE ENCODED / NO SOUND OUTPUT. After programming the RAM (audio amplifier) one of the following errors may occur: 1. Coding of the RAM-01 audio amplifier fails repeatedly. 2. However after the vehicle goes to sleep, the sound output no longer works.
