Key fob warning message on BMW G05/G06/G07/G14 and other models (2017–2021); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10202469 · Jul 2021 · also written SI B61 04 21, B610421

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The customer may complain of a check control message stating "Safe share detected" (CCM-ID 953). Check control message can be verified by checking key reader information or performing the Check control message history service function.
