What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign 13E-A01: Program Control Units (Tank Ventilation). Due to an error in the DME (Digital Motor Electronics) software, the fuel tank ventilation system does not function correctly to purge the active carbon canister of accumulated fuel vapor.
