What it covers
A service campaign is a fix BMW performs free on affected cars. Ask a BMW center whether it is open on your VIN.
Due to an installation error, the crankshaft sensor connector may not have been properly locked. In very rare cases, the plug connection may become disconnected. If no signal is sent by the crankshaftsensor, the engine will switch to emergency operation and a Check Control message will occur.
