What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Voluntary emissions recall campaign 10E-A01: Program control units (DME retrofit). An error in DME (digital motor electronics) software, it may not be possible to read out the DME data using a non BMW tester (i.e., scan tool, etc.).
