SIB 12 28 14: Software failure

Software failure on BMW F01/F02/F10/F30 models (2012–2015); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10149350 · Oct 2014 · also written SI B12 28 14, B122814

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Service Action: Program Control Units (Fuel Pressure Sensor). Due to a software error, the plausibility check between the tank shut-off valve (TAV) and the internal pressure sensor does not work correctly.
