BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147603 · Jan 2015 · also written SI B12 39 14, B123914

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SUBJECT N55: Engine Briefly Shudders or Runs Erratically After Cold Start. Under certain cold starting conditions, the engine may shudder or run a bit erratically for the first few moments when starting off. This can be felt at an engine speed of approximately 1,500 rpm.
