SIB 13 07 15: Steering fault codes

Steering fault codes on BMW F15 models (2015–2016); BMW shared service information.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147239 · Sep 2015 · also written SI B13 07 15, B130715

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

N57T - Automatic Start/Stop (MSA) Does Not Function. The MSA feature to shut the engine off does not function at any time, although it is set to active. The MSA test plan indicates that the ""engine stop"" inhibitor is currently active due to missing steering angle information.
