SIB 17 04 10: Radiator inspection

Radiator inspection on BMW E89/E90/E92/E93 models (2010); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10037255 · Oct 2010 · also written SI B17 04 10, B170410

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The vent hole of the cooling hose coupling on the drivers side of the radiator may be blocked. There is a procedure for checking and fixing the problem.
