What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Cracking noise in the area of the front axle support/wishbone This Service Information bulletin supersedes SI 31 01 16 dated April 2016. Customer complains of cracking noise coming from the area of the front axle when driving over rough road surfaces, railroad crossings and speed bumps.
