SIB 61 13 05: Battery service information

Battery service information on BMW G01/G02/G05/G06 and other models (2006–2024); BMW shared service information.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10249027 · Jan 2024 · also written SI B61 13 05, B611305

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The electrical system of BMW vehicles has been subject to an ongoing development process over the last few years. This has led to increased demands being placed on the battery. This document covers important information for the dealer on how to handle "¢Â€Âœdischarged battery"¢Â€Â complaints.
