What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Grinding or cracking noise when putting vehicle in gear/ ""Drive Disturbed"" displayed. A metallic grinding or cracking noise is heard from the rear of the vehicle when selecting Drive or Reverse. There may also be a Check Control message ""Drive Disturbed"" displayed.
