BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10161560 · May 2019 · also written SI B34 04 19, B340419

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

IB BRAKE-BY-WIRE SYSTEM - PREFLIGHT CHECK. When starting a vehicle or driving off customers may complain of "no brake assist" or "hard brake pedal". Additionally some brake warning lights may illuminate in the instrument cluster (aka Kombi).
