What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
TANK VENTILATION DIAGNOSIS: There is software error in the diagnosis of the fuel tank ventilation valve. This error may result in the Service Engine Soon (MIL) light not being activated if a fault is found in the tank vent system after a second fault detection.
