Incorrect Accelerator Pedal Module on BMW E70/E71/E72 models (2012–2013); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10149432 · Feb 2013 · also written SI B35 01 13, B350113

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Incorrect Accelerator Pedal Module. During vehicle production, certain X5 and X6 models may have been produced with an accelerator pedal module that does not have the stainless steel trim.
