Door paint streaks on BMW G01/G02/F48/F97 and other models (2016–2021); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10188941 · Feb 2021 · also written SI B51 04 21, B510421
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
DOOR PAINT STREAKS: Streaks are found running mostly vertically down along the door outer skin from the lower window trim. This can affect any of the 4 side doors.
