SIB 51 07 23: Tailgate noise
Tailgate noise on BMW G05/G06/G07 models (2024); BMW gives diagnosis and repair guidance.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11015856 · Mar 2025 · also written SI B51 07 23, B510723
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
This bulletin outlines known areas of upper and lower tailgate functionality, operational noise, or static noise for the vehicles listed above. It serves only as a diagnostic resource in troubleshooting complaints from the tailgate area.
