Engine overheating on BMW F30/F31/F34 models (2014–2015); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10148032 · Sep 2014 · also written SI B51 26 14, B512614

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

It may cause the engine to overheat, resulting in a Check Control message. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves F30 vehicles produced from June 26, 2014 to July 4, 2014. First check if a Service Action label with a code number 705 is already attached to the B-pillar.
