Seat noise on BMW F06/F12/F13 models (2012–2017); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10163044 · Jun 2019 · also written SI B52 08 19, B520819
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Front seat backrest makes a cracking noise when folded forward.
