SIB 61 07 15: Charging Stops when Using ""Occasional Use"" Cable

Charging Stops when Using ""Occasional Use"" Cable on BMW I01/I12/I15 models (2014–2016); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147144 · May 2015 · also written SI B61 07 15, B610715

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Charging Stops when Using ""Occasional Use"" Cable. When charging the vehicle with the Occasional Use Cable (OUC), and the charge rate set to ""Min"" in the CID, charging may switch off during the charge cycle. In rare cases, the vehicle may not start the charging cycle at all.
