BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10166385 · Sep 2019 · also written SI B61 12 19, B611219

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

DELIVERY STOP: REPLACE THE GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH: The functional lighting and/or locator lighting on the Shifter selector lever (GWS) may flicker over time or intermittently not illuminate. The GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH may not have been produced to specifications.
