SIB 62 01 17: Time display (clock) error in instrument cluster

Time display (clock) error in instrument cluster on BMW E90/E92/E93/F07 and other models (2011–2017); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10146653 · Apr 2017 · also written SI B62 01 17, B620117

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

TIME DISPLAY (CLOCK) ERROR IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. The clock on the basic instrument cluster (KOMBI) gradually loses time even after being reset. Power supply fluctuations cause the time to reset.
