Headlight service information on BMW E60/E61/E90/E92 and other models (2007–2011); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10040057 · Aug 2011 · also written SI B63 03 11, B630311

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Wiring on the headlights may have deteriorated due to environmental conditions and the cover not being secured properly. E60/E92.
