Interior lighting service information on BMW E90/E92/E93 models (2007–2009); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10040047 · Apr 2011 · also written SI B63 04 11, B630411
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
The seal on the rear lamps in the side panel emits a gas and causes damage to the electrical connectors on the leds inside the lamp. E91.
