SIB 64 09 19: Drive belt inspection

Drive belt inspection on BMW G01/G02/F97/F98 models (2020); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10166389 · Sep 2019 · also written SI B64 09 19, B640919

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SERVICE ACTION: CHECKING HEATER HOSE FOR PROPER INSTALLATION: The installation area between the heater return hose and the drive belt is very limited. If the hose is not secured properly this could cause contact with the drive belt.
