BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10051897 · Feb 2013

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

During the scheduled 3 month/ 5,000 mile service it could possibly be determined that some of the contact protective sleeve s in the charging socket may be missing. BMW model E28E.
